Being an entrepreneur is not easy, it’s a little complicated
when you are starting out, you do not know what you should do at the moment,
you priorities are upside down, one thing that I was taught and will always
remember is that “It’s always first on the right”. You might be slightly
obsessed with the vision of what you want to create; you end up forgetting
what’s important at that moment. Be careful not to mix your vision with
hallucinations. The DNA of any venture is to make money; it should be clear to
you from the start that money should come from sales. Do enough sales calls for
you to be in business.
In order to be successful in any start-up you have to have sales
coming in, know how to manage your cash, you should have a healthy cash flow,
one tip “Collect early and pay Late”. You should track every single coin you
spend whether it’s personal or business.
You will probably have many sleepless nights and money
problems that you will have to work a little extra hard to make things happen.
It more of you are sitting on a time bomb where things have to happen like now,
you are very impatient cos time is not your friend. I never realized how time
and sales were important until my bank caught up with asking for their money
back. I can tell you, it’s a wake-up call to get more sales and start cutting
cost at the same time maintain quality.
