1. An idea is nothing, i don't mean to discourage or beat the shit out of you. An idea is only 1% percent of the journey what matters is the execution and ability to have good idea's. Many companies start with an idea on the left and end up on the right with completely new ideas, you should have the ability to pivot you idea to something that people want and are willing to pay for. Innovate!!! Innovate!!!! That's what great companies do!
2. A good idea can only be measured by its money making potential and value to the user. You will only be able to know about the money part if you are out there doing demos and asking paying customers for their feedback. This means its time to leave the drawing table to go and test the idea in the market as see how it works. Do your Homework (Research),Get going, make mistakes, Make the product and don't wait around trying to be 100%, deliver your product to your target market, it does not matter whether its crappy all matters it helps a customer solve their problem.
3. Good ideas are simple to understand and relate with. There is need for simplicity cos people are more likely to deal with what they understand. This means you have to deeply understand what problem you are solving and how you are going to make it easy for people to adopt your product.
4. Passionate and deeply obsessed with the idea. You need this kind of obsession in order to turn your idea into something. An entrepreneur is in effect a magician who is trying to build a company/business out of nothing, a rational human being would call them crazy but its this kind of stubborn, obsessive, driven personality that is able to work the magic. Above all you need to be passionate about what you want to change or make a difference cos that will get you through tough times.
